Having a rough day of surgery, Sam went back to the office, to grab some of his things, and pack up getting caught up in a conversation with Maya. Who had finally called Sam back. He needed some comfort and knew who could give him that. By considence Shelby needed comfort too. Grabbing some files Sam walked out of the office and to his car. He decided that he would get Shelby some flowers before he went to her house, so he went to the grocery store near her house and picked them up. After making his purchase he made his way to Shelby’s and knocked on her door with the flowers at his side.
Shelby was sitting on her couch wearing her black silk nightgown and robe watching her favorite movie, Breakfast At Tiffany’s. Audrey Hepburn was always inspiring for her and she wasn’t certainly of what to do while waiting for Sam. She knew he was bad for the surgery and she wanted to comfort him. When she heard the nock on the door the brunette went to open it. Sam was standing there holding flowers on his hands. Her eyes sparkled a little. “Hi, Sam.” The brunette moved and laced her arms on his neck giving him a briefly kiss she knew he needed.
Standing at the door waiting for Shelby to come he took a deep breath rubbing his eyes. The sun was only now going down and he had just just finished work a little while ago. When the door had opened he smiled a little at her. “Hey, Shelby.” he placed his free hand on her waist kissing her back softly before pulling back. “I got you these..” he smiled handing her the flowers before walking inside the house a little. “I hope you like them..”
She grabbed the flowers with a smile, smelling them with a deep breath. “They’re lovely, Sam.” The brunette gave him a soft smile. “You’re adorable. Thank you.” She smelled it another time and invited him in. “Come in, I’ll put them on the water.” She moved to the kitchen and grabbed a glass vase, putting water and then the flowers. They looked beautiful. Shelby was happy he had the labor to be so attentive. She left the flowers on the dining table and got back to Sam, she was really worried about him.
Sam blushed a little as she took the flowers commenting on them. It was weird how he could be in a terrible mood, and it changed in a heart beat. “Alright.” he nodded moving inside and took off his work jacket setting it on the arm of the couch as he sat down next to it resting his head against the cushion as he waited for Shelby to come back.
Shelby loved when he blushed, Sam usually got even more beautiful when he was blushing she thought that while returning to the room. The brunette saw him sitting on the couch and went to him, sitting right beside him. She paused the movie so they could talk without noise. She turned sitting aside on the sofa so she could look directly at him. “Tell me.” Her hand caressed his knee trying to comfort him.
Watching her come back in and sit next to him he turned to her a little looking down at his feet with a sigh. “My first surgery out here.. And it wasn’t a breeze. It was a disaster.” he rubbed his temples taking a deep breath looking up at her. “This is why I didn’t want to do surgeries anymore. But don’t worry about me.. What’s up with you? How was your day?”
She hated to see him like that, looking all down. He was always smiling and happy, and Shelby didn’t want to see him bad. “We can have good and bad days at work, darling.” She said sweetly, caressing his face with her free hand. “You’re great doing what you do. In fact you’re more than great. I’d certainly let my life in your hands if I had to, because I know you’re good.. If today was a disaster, tomorrow can be incredible.” She wasn’t always good with her word, but she wanted him to feel fine. “I can’t not worry I hate to see you like that. I know you’re good.” She gave him a simply smile biting her lip a little. “Hmm. It was hard. My mood was killing me… But I’m feeling better.” Having him there made that to her.
Looking up at her speak and just say the right things, everything he needed to hear Sam smiled softly with a little nod. “You always know what to say.. You’re the best.” the man said leaning in kissing her softly taking hold of her hand. “I’ll be fine..” he nodded to himself reassuringly. “I saw.. Today just wasn’t a good day for either of us I guess. But I do have to say I’m feeling a bit more relieved. That’s for sure.”
She turned the lights off in the inturuptor close to her bed. “All right then, so goodnight babe.” Shelby said while...
“Me? I can stand without sex.” he nodded looking straight up at the celling. “No big deal. I’ve done it numerous times.”...
